Introduction
This permit is to enable the Business Premise owners to lay tables, chairs and a flat screen on the sidewalk.
How To Apply
- The forms are available at the Main Counter level G, Licensing Department on the 13th floor, Sungai Buloh Branch Office, Kota Kemuning Branch Office and Branch Office at Setia Alam.
- The completed forms must be submitted together with one (1) copy of each required document.
- The duly completed application form of the Promotion Permit must be submitted to the counter of Licensing Department on the 13th floor or in the Main Counter level G.
Guidelines
- Applicants must include one copy each of the following documents:

Copy Of Identity Card.
- Copy of MBSA Business License.
- A computer sketch plan of table arrangements
- A copy of the Public Liability Insurance of RM100K.

Terms and Conditions
- The sidewalk business should operate between 6.00 pm and 12.00 midnights only.
- If there is a justified complaint, the Council may revoke the permit immediately.
- This permit is valid for (6) months and must be renewed upon expiry.
- No permanent structures are permitted in the area.
- Business owners must ensure cleanliness of the tables and chairs during and after business hours.
- These tables and chairs must be stored orderly at the premise and not interfere with public access in the area.
- Spot checks will be carried out from time to time to ensure that all rules and regulations are complied with.
- Adhere to the number of tables and chairs that have been approved.
- The applicant must purchase Public Liability Insurance of RM100K and submit a copy with the application form.
- A sketch plan of the premise and the approved space including the size of the sidewalks that is to be used.
- Premise owners must provide a kangaroo bar in the parking lot for the safety of visitors / customers.
- Premise owners must use stickers issued by the Local Authorities (LAs) for each table placed outside the premise.
- All food handlers must attend the Basic Food Handling and received an injection (if there are additional workers for evening shifts).
- Payments must be made in accordance with a permit within the permissible period i.e. every six (6) months for each application.

Business owners must abide the Laws of Licensing and comply with the conditions of the Council from time to time.
Terms of Payment
Fees for the permit of chairs, tables and flat screen must be paid before the activity is carried out upon obtaining the approval letter.
Rates
- A deposit of RM100 is charged for the City Council / Municipal and RM50 for District Assemblies.
- A fee of RM30 per month for each table.
- RM30 is charged per month for each unit used for the display screen.
