Shah Alam City Council ( MBSA ) Request Inspection Aedes breeding Construction Site - Take Proactive Measures To Tackle Dengue In Administrative Area Council

Please be informed , in order to combat dengue Shah Alam City Council ( MBSA ) has conducted inspections at the construction site of Aedes breeding grounds in the vicinity of Section 17 and Section 22 , Shah Alam .This operation is in line with concerted actions implemented throughout the state to examine the potential to become a breeding ground for Aedes larvae .
A total of 4 compounds have been removed and two construction sites were given notice of temporary closure by the Council to the work of cleaning and control of Aedes larvae breeding .Shah Alam City Council ( MBSA ) is very proactive to deal with the problem of dengue fever in the administrative area of the Council and at the same time calling for Shah Alam residents can ensure the environmental conditions of their homes are clean and free of Aedes larvae breeding .The Council will act decisively to remove the compound on premises found guilty of breeding Aedes larvae under the Local Government Act 1976 ( Act 171 ) .
From the beginning of the year until May 21, 2016 , MBSA had organized the control of dengue by making checks on 10840 premises in Shah Alam including residential houses, shops and restaurants , spraying or fogging at 341 , 404 premises and issued a total of 256 compound the offense breeding Aedes larvae .Additionally , MBSA also carry out educational activities by distributing as many as 32 , 077 leaflets and 2086 posters on dengue fever .
Among the hygienic measures that can be taken to prevent the breeding of Aedes larvae are : -
- Close all water storage containers such as jars , wash basin , shower, basin and areas that are potential breeding grounds for mosquito larvae ;
- Copy clean water and washing up pots and flower pot bases , bath tub and forth at least once a week ;
- Clean water reservoir ( roof outlet ) blocked from stagnant water ;
- Enter larvae -killing drugs or abate into a container that can not be closed .
MBSA encourage people to get involved indirectly by taking 10 minutes every week to ensure that residential areas and premises are clean and tidy .
Regular inspections will be carried out around the city of Shah Alam as a potential breeding ground for Aedes larvae such as residential areas , areas of stratified , factories, construction sites , the Institute of Higher Education Public / Private schools / kindergartens and so on .
MBSA also urged the public to spend only 10 minutes a week to clean the outside and inside their premises to prevent the breeding of Aedes larvae .
