Free Transportation For The Disabled

Shah Alam City Council Provides Free Transportation Services To The Disabled

The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) provides free transport services to people with disabilities to get treatment at hospital and treatment centers at Klang Valley. The provided transport is a Toyota Hiace van that has been modified to meet the needs of the disabled.
The provision of this transport service is a social responsibility and MBSA's concern is to provide transport services to hospital  treatment center since transport services to the disabled is limited and difficult to find.
This vehicle is equipped and adapted for the disabled with a 'tail lift' facility that can accommodate a person in a wheelchair. The modified vehicle is able to accommodate 2 passengers and a driver, this is because the space in the vehicle is emptied and equipped with safety features such as safety belt to ensure that the wheelchair does not move while the vehicle is moving.
The disabled van service will operate every Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm (office hours). Reservations can be made a week before  by contacting the Society and Community Services Section, Community Development Department, MBSA at 03-5511 4246 / 03-5522 2742.

The use of this vehicle is exclusively for Shah Alam residents only. This disabled van service is for those who want to get treatment at hospital or clinic around Shah Alam and Klang Valley only, such as :-

  1. Section 7 Health Clinic and Hospital, Shah Alam;
  2. Section 19 Health Clinic, Shah Alam;
