Flow Chart Process of the Council's Action Against Abandoned Houses and Abandoned Vacant Lots​

Your responsibility​

• Manage empty houses / lots well​
  
• Clearing wild plants & felling dead or rotting trees
  
• Carry out cleaning work on vacant houses / lots at least once every 2 months.​
  
• Displaying or displaying land ownership information signs as well as the owner's phone number to be contacted by the Council.
  
• Installing a fence around the empty house / lot to prevent it from becoming a place for any unwanted activities.
  

If Disobedience Notice Instructions

The owner will be charged;

• Compound RM500.00 under the Local Government Act, 1976​
  
• A fine not exceeding RM1,000.00 (Ringgit Malaysia One Thousand) or imprisonment not exceeding six (6) months or both under section 82(5), Local Government Act 1976.
  
• Cleaning actions by the Council and all cleaning costs will be charged to the owner's assessment tax bill.​
  

Rates

1. RM 0.45 / m² (area of ​​land to be cleared)
   
2. RM 300.00 / trip (estimated area 1000-1500 m² )
   
3. RM 200 / middle lot terrace house​
   
4. RM 250 / side lot terrace house
5. RM 400 / bungalow​
