COUNCIL ACTIVITIES WITH DEPARTMENTS FOR 2020 TO 2021 (MAY)

​Implementation of Joint Departmental Council Meeting (MBJ)


During the year 2020, MBJ Meetings were held three (3) times a year every 4 months.

The following are the dates for the implementation of meetings held during the year 2020.

a.    First MBJ Meeting (1/2020)    -   30 June 2020

b.    Second MBJ Meeting (2/2020)       -   2 October 2020

c.    Third MBJ Meeting (3/2020)       -   18 Dicember 2020


Statutory Bodies & Local Authority's Caring Employer Award

Shah Alam City Council has received the Award for the category of Employers for Statutory Bodies and Local Authorities in conjunction with CUEPACS Labor Day 1 May 2021.

 

The award was presented by Yang Berusaha Tuan Haji Adnan Bin Mat, President of the Public Service Employees' Union Congress. This award is evaluated based on the following 9 criteria:​

Here are the issues discussed

  1. Treatment from a specialist hospital for the treatment of miscarriage, current and postpartum treatment.

  2. Creating a Prihatin Employer Fund to safeguard the welfare of members and families of members

  3. Extend maternity care at any government and private hospital and can claim reimbursement of treatment expenses up to RM1,700.00 only.

  4. Dental treatment for officers and staff.

  5. Increase the number of medical panel clinics.

  6. Dialysis treatment for officers and staff in need.

  7. Claim for purchase of glasses at other optical stores other than the Council's panel optics shop by submitting a purchase receipt.

  8. Awards to outstanding officers and staff throughout the service (APC).

  9. The Loyal Service Award for 25 years and 30 years of service is accounted for services from contract to fixed.

  10. Creating the Mayor's Special Award.

  11.  Appreciation to pensioners.

  12. Hajj contributions to future retirees.

  13. The rest house facilities are open to contracted staff.

  14. Providing a quarter house to reduce the load and convenience of staff.

  15. Vehicle loans for officers and staff.

  16. Computer loans for contracted and permanent staff.

  17. Housing loan facilities.

  18. Corporate shirt of the MBJ Committee.

  19. Provide corporate / uniform attire to all Council staff of 2 pairs per year.

  20. Improvement of the grill in the kitchen as well as windows in the living room and master bedroom of the MBSA Quarters in Section 20.

  21. Extend phone refunds to Executor staff

  22. To absorb Part-time Workers (PRA) in all departments to the status of Contract positions.

  23. Provide TASKA / KINDERGARTEN for staff.

  24. TASKA / KINDERGARTEN Subsidy.

  25. Group Insurance Scheme for Daily Part-Time Workers (PSH)

  26. Provision of Facility Books to Officers And Staff

  27.  Provision of a special zone of parking for staff.

  28. Proposals for creating cross-linked parking and charging a fee.

  29. Creating vehicle stickers for Council staff.

  30. Proposed upgrading of dark, lightless parking lighting.\

  32. Additional application for the number and location of the Council's rest houses.

  33. Health Screening (ESP) is open to officers and staff aged 35 years and above.

  34. Provide free mortuary vehicle facilities in case of death of staff.

  37. Course to staff with serious indebtedness.

  38. Additional number of TASKA/TADIKA for children of MBSA staff and the setting of new rates of TASKA/KINDERGARTEN fees.

  40. Proposed supply of batik shirts to all officers and staff of the Council.

  42. Change of workplace for Public Employees (Job rotation).

  46. Application of special responsibility allowance of the driver.

  47. Allowance for law enforcement personnel with the rank of sergeant / corporal.

  48. Application for the absorption of contracted law enforcement personnel is given permanent employee status.

  49. Application to create permanent positions for Security Guards and sequencing of the Take Scheme.

  50. Watikah is appointed as MBJ Committee.

  51. MBSA charity bodies (NGO) Meeting Room.

  52. Application for contract status is absorbed into permanent positions.

  53. Establishing the position of Audio Technician in the Corporate Department.

  54. Application of carpet for surau quarters Section 20.

  55. Application for a friendly bowling match between the employer and the employee.

  56. Improvement of Section 17 workshop.

  57. A faulty E-finger scanner system (tumbprint) in every Department. 

  58. Proposals to drivers who have long served the Council are given priority to driving new lorries.

  59. Amendment to the Constitution of the Joint Departmental Council (MBJ) of MBSA.

  60. AJK ANULAE became the permanent representative for the Medical Meeting.

  61. AJK ANULAE became the permanent representative of the MBSA Occupational Safety and Health Committee.

  62. AJK ANULAE becomes the permanent representative for the MBSA Nursery / Kindergarten Meeting.
