Public Service Mentoring Fellow (AKRAB) is a special name for officers and staff appointed as members of AKRAB after successfully following the Basic Counseling Skills Improvement Program (PPKK). In Service Circular No. 18 of 2005 states the application of psychology in human resource management, AKRAB needs to be trained in two (2) levels of PPKK. The name AKRAB is a combination of the main values that a mentor needs to have, namely Trust, Commitment, Rationality, Ethics and Bestari.
AKRAB also has the concept of "friends helping friends" in fostering team spirit, camaraderie and building each other's potential. It is also a support group that emphasizes humanistic relationships.
The stability of an organization depends a lot on the commitment and contribution of its members' expertise. Without commitment from members, all the activities of fellow mentors will be seen as burdensome. Therefore, the formation of AKRAB in the organization is expected to be able to form a group of employees who have a high commitment to the organization.
