PAYMENT
The fee charged for tenants is as follows :

Each rental will be subject to a deposit of 10% of the total rental amount.

The rental rate does not include stage lighting, audio system stage visuals, sound engineers and special assistants. Tenants are required to rent the requirements with other parties.

Each storage of goods by the tenant will be charged a fee of RM 1,000.00 (per day).

The rental rate charged is inclusive of the existing equipment inside the Shah Alam Theatre Building and the parking lot.

Explain the rental payment and deposit payment before or on the date specified in the offer letter together with the attached acceptance letter. Payment in cash or in the case of a crossed cheque must be presented in the name:-
Collateral Payment: “SHAH ALAM CITY COUNCIL – COLLATERAL ACCOUNT”
Rent Payment: “SHAH ALAM CITY COUNCIL”

Rental and Security payments need to be cleared
before or during the period as stated in the offer letter.

If the rental money and the full security deposit are not paid before or on the set date, the reservation cannot be confirmed and the application will be cancel.

If found to be a user/tenant on the day of non-use
‘actual tenant’, Rental Money will not be refunded.

If the organizer/renter/user cancels the reservation:-
i - Deposit – Refundable (need to make a claim application in writing and fill out a collateral claim form).
ii- Rent – Non refundable.
iii- The security deposit must be claimed within 3 months after the ceremony.
CATERER
Caterers appointing tenants are allowed on the condition that they must comply with the conditions and maintain cleanliness during use until the end of use and only use the cafe space that has been provided.
PREPARATION

Organizers/renters/users are required to contact the Council no later than two (2) weeks before the date of use to discuss the preparations to be made.

Organisers/renters/users are only allowed to enter to make preparations and then use the Shah Alam Theatre at the designated time/period only. Users who exceed the reservation time will be charged overtime as specified.
SHAH ALAM THEATER FACILITIES
-
The Organiser/renter/user is allowed to use the existing facilities such as toilets, surau, Maternity Room, MCP Room, Corridor and basic facilities only.

The Council does not provide stage decorations, arrangement of chairs/tables and tablecloths. Organizers/renters/users must provide their own table chairs as needed.
EQUIPMENT
-
Organizers/renters/users are required to use the equipment provided according to the instructions of the Council and requests for additional equipment at the last minute will not be entertained.

Organizers/renters/users are required to use all toilet installation tools with caution and care.
-
Organizers/renters/users are required to use mechanical/electrical tools with caution and care. Additional electrical wiring is not allowed at all before obtaining the approval of the Council.

Any damage or loss must be reported immediately to the Council. Claims will be made to the organizer/renter/user for any damage or loss caused by the negligence of the organizer/renter/user.
SECURITY
-
The Council is not responsible for damage or loss of property, any injury or death that occurs to the organisers/tenants/users while using the Shah Alam Theatre or reserved parking spaces.
-
The exhibition of valuables must get the cooperation of the police for security control.
PERMIT/ PERMISSION
- Organizers/tenants/users are responsible for obtaining permission from the Police and MBSA Licensing Department or those concerned regarding activities before using the Shah Alam Theatre.
PROCEDURES/CONDUCT IN THE HALL

Organizers/tenants/users must dress neatly and show polite behaviour while inside the Shah Alam Theatre.
-
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the Shah Alam Theatre.
-
It is absolutely forbidden to bring food or drink into the Shah Alam Theatre.
-
It is absolutely forbidden to bring non-halal food or liquor or pets into the Shah Alam Theatre.
-
It is forbidden to cook and wash dishes inside or even in the area Shah Alam Theatre.
-
It is the responsibility of the Organizer/renter/user to ensure that the hall is clean during and after the event.
All rubbish or leftover food must be taken out directly from the Shah Alam Theatre area.
-
The Security Deposit will NOT be returned if the level of cleanliness is not satisfactory on that day.
WITHDRAWAL OF OFFERS
-
If due to unavoidable reasons, the Council has to use the Shah Alam Theatre on the booked date, then the reservation has to be cancelled. Security Deposit and Rent will be considered for refund.
-
The organizer/renter/user is not entitled to claim compensation and any other claims.
-
All Council decisions on problems that may arise/result with organizer/renter/user is final.
