  1. Shah Alam is known as the city of orchids. Shah Alam Renantanda was born in 1986 as a result of the hybrid of Kalsom Renanthere and Penang Vanda.

  2. This flower began to produce flowers in 1990 and was registered at the Queen Elizabeth Botanical Garden, London.

  3. MBSA actively involved in the activities of orchids began in 1990 with the International Orchid Festival organized every year.

  4. On 24 April to 2 May 2002, the State Government through MBSA was honored to host the 17th World Orchid Conference.

  5. This triennial conference becomes a meeting platform for nearly 2,000 delegates involved in orchid industry around the world.
